Today arrival Chennai the capital state of Tamil Nadu and the city of Fort St George home, upon arrival you will be met by our VUE India Representative at the Chennai International Airport, After a warm welcome, transfer to your hotel for 01 Night stay.

This monring post breakfast and discover the first city of your Temples of South India Tour, pacing through Chennai, the fourth largest city of India, also referred to as The Detroit of India because of its major share in India’s automobile export.
Enjoy a city sightseeing tour being renowned as the 'Gateway of South', Chennai has so much to offer to its tourists. Part of the city tour, you would be visiting Kapaliswara temple a Hindu temple dedicated to lord Shiva located in Mylapore, Fort St George, the first bastion of British power in India. This fort is now used by the Tamil Nadu legislative assembly and the secretariat office and St Mary’s Church, the oldest surviving British Church in India.
Therafter in time proceed Mahabalipuram, with its picturesque location on a rocky outcrop between the beach and a lagoon is a happy combination of history, charming beaches, hassle-free tourism, and, fabulous fish and lobster. Established in the 7th century CE by the mighty Pallava dynasty King Narasimha Varman I, Mamallapuram, with its striking temple architecture and colossal sculptures carved out of rock, is every bit worthy of its UNESCO World Heritage Site status

Auroville sustains itself through agriculture, handicrafts, and alternative technology and also visit Auroville Bamboo Research Centre was founded in 2009 to bring awareness of the many applications of bamboo to the people in the Auroville community and to the villages in the Auroville bioregion.
Then visit the Sri Aurobindo Ashram, where Sri Aurobindo and the Mother lived for most of their lives. The Puducherry Museum is home to some of the most exquisite architecture and sculpture. Puducherry also has a charming beach alongside a promenade and historical monuments.
Therafter enjoy pondicherry in the best way on foot or by cycle. The gorgeous yellow and purple buildings in the White Town make for great photographs as do the ornate windows and doors. But there’s more to these buildings, and this post is precisely about the hidden stories of Pondicherry.
Rest of the day is at leisure to enjoy the quiet beaches of Pondicherry.

Today Post breakfast, Discover one of the oldest cities in India which has been continuously inhabited since at least the 3rd century BCE and is located on the banks of the River Vaigai.
Go on a sightseeing tour of Madurai and visit the most famous for the Meenakshi Temple, with its towering gopurams and rare sculptures. Some of the other major attractions in the city are the Vandiyur Mariamman Teppakulam, Thirumalai Naicker Palace, Koodal Azhagar Temple, and the Gandhi Museum.
In evening visit the Sri Meenakshi Temple and attend the Pooja ceremony.

After a leisurely breakfast, we embark on a scenic drive to Periyar, the spice plantation hub of Kerala.
Upon arrival in Periyar, check in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the time at leisure!!
This evening watch Kalaripayattu performance, one of the oldest form of martial arts and known as the mother of all martial arts. Kalarippayattu consists of punches, leg moves, stretches, twists, and jumps performed in a particular sequence. In Periyar, you get a unique opportunity to witness a performance of this ancient art along with the locals at the village arena.

Early this morning, we take a guided walk with a naturalist in Periyar Wildlife Reserve. Observe some rare species of flora and fauna, along with a variety of birds and if you are lucky you may even spot a few elephants and wildlife across the lake.
This afternoon, take a spice plantation tour and learn about the mystery and history of Indian spices. The spice plantations in Periyar are captivating farms growing different spices in different sections of the plantations. You will be intrigued to see the vast variety of spices ranging from cloves, cardamom, ginger, pepper, chilli, turmeric etc and during the spice plantation tour, you have the option to experience elephant safari through the plantation. Undisturbed by the mechanical roar of a car or jeep, open to the skies accompanied only by the rhythmic sound of the elephant, enjoy the ride through spice scented breeze.
Later in time drive to Kumarakom a popular tourism destination located near the city of Kottayam {16 kilometres (10 minutes), in Kerala, India, famous for its backwater tourism. It is set in the backdrop of the Vembanad Lake which is the largest freshwater lake in the state of Kerala

This morning board your houseboat to cruise through the backwaters. Kerala backwaters consist of a complex network of lagoons, lakes, & canals and are best experienced while slowly rowing down the labyrinth of canals in a traditional thatch-roofed houseboat, known as 'Kettuvallam'.
