Day 01 - Sun, 04 Oct’20 ( Sixth day of Durga Puja ) : Arrive in Kolkata

The journey begins with the arrival in Kolkata followed by the night in the hotel.

Day 02 - Mon, 05 Oct’ 20 ( Seventh day of Durga Puja ) : In Kolkata

After breakfast proceeds for sightseeing tour of the city. Start the day with a visit to the famous places of the city like High Court, Town Hall, Governor’s House, and Writers Building. Enjoy the visit to the famed Potter’s Colony, where one gets to witness the idols making of the famous Hindu Gods. The Calcutta University and the Calcutta Coffee House are important landmarks of the city reflecting upon the literary cultures of the people of Calcutta. Enjoy the joy of traveling in a Tram, an exclusive feature of the city. Visit the Pandals (Temporary temples built on roadside)only seen during  festival and spend the night in the Hotel.

Day 03 - Tue, 06 Oct’ 20 ( Eighth day of Durga Puja ) : In Kolkata

The Belur Math, located on the banks of the Hooghly River is one of the most enthralling temples of the city and visit to this temple is scheduled post breakfast.

You would be able to see the KUMARI PUJA ( the worship of young girl aged around 06 -08). Following our visit of Belur Math, we cross the Hooghly river to the very famous and 200 years old Dakshineswar Kali Temple.

The day ends with a visit to the Mother Teresa “ Shishu Bhavan” – Orphanage for homeless kids. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 04 - Wed, 07 Oct’ 20 ( Ninth day of Durga Puja ) : In Kolkata

Calcutta or Kolkata is renowned for some of the fascinating architectures all over the world. One of the oldest and commanding architectural brilliance can be witnessed in the famed Howrah Bridge. Beneath the east end of Howrah Bridge, the Mullik Ghat flower market is a sensory overload of sights and smells and is extremely photogenic. This 125-year-old flower market is the biggest in East India.

In the afternoon, you are taken to a Barwari Pujo (Zamindar House) to experience how the Royal Bengali family celebrates the festival. Have an insight into the years old traditions and cultures of the city that still holds such importance even in the present era. Moving on, visit the enchanting Victoria Memorial Hall standing tall and shining brightly in the greenery of the Maidan.

Day 05 - Thu, 08 Oct’ 20 ( Final day of Durga Puja ) : In Kolkata

In the morning after breakfast explore some of the Durga Puja Pandals of central Kolkata.

Try the extremely tasty Bengali Cuisine as the culinary dishes available in the city are truly delicious. The evening on this day is filled with tears of bidding farewell to Maa Durga as today is the final day of the celebrations.

The Idol of Durga Maa is immersed in the Hooghly River and married women decked in the ritualistic red-and-white sarees marks the event with the customary “Sindoor Khela” or smearing each other and the idols with red vermillion to prepare the goddess and her clan for their long journey home. It is a sight that you will cherish for a very long time. Experience the incomparable emotional attachment of the people with the most amazing event, the “Durga Puja”.

Day 06 - Fri, 09 Oct’ 20 : Leave Kolkata

In time transfer to airport to board flight for home / next destination.

Day 06 : Kolkata Delhi by flight

In time transfer to airport to board flight for Delhi. Upon arrival transfer to pre-booked hotel for overnight stay.

Day 07 : In Delhi

Touring in Delhi is a fun filled experience as it houses some amazing monuments and places that are worth visiting numerous times. Start with a guided tour to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, President’s Palace and Qutab Minar. In Old Delhi visit Jama Masjid and Chandni Chowk (Silver Street).

Day 08 : Delhi Agra by road

Start the journey on the Taj Expressway towards Agra.

Upon arrival check-in to your pre booked hotel. Later proceed to visit the world-famous and the most beautiful monument Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays). Also, visit Agra Fort and Itmad Ud Daulah Tomb (Mini Taj).

Day 09 : Agra Jaipur by road en route visit Fatehpur Sikri and Abhaneri

In the morning after breakfast depart by road for Jaipur and en route visit the abandoned city of Fatehpur Sikri which lies about 30 km out of Agra on Agra-Jaipur highway. The Fatehpur Sikri is well known for its extremely fantastic architecture and the very beautiful designed buildings. Continue to drive towards Jaipur with a stop at Abhaneri Stepwell. On arrival Jaipur transfer to your pre-booked hotel.

Day 10 : In Jaipur

Jaipur is another beautiful location planned in the itinerary. In Jaipur start your sightseeing  with the visit to the Amber Fort as you ride your way to the top of the hill on an elephant’s back. As an option Jeeps are also available if you are not keen to ride on an elephant. During the day you visit Jantar Mantar Observatory, City Palace Museum and Hawa Mahal (Palace of Winds). Enjoy the rickshaw ride that will take you through the vivid and colorful streets of Jaipur.

Day 11 : Jaipur Delhi by road

Following a leisurely breakfast, head towards Delhi, along one of the India’s finest freeways. Upon arrival in Delhi, check into the hotel booked for you.

Spend the final day at leisure exploring the local marketplaces and try out the best of Mughlai cuisine.

Day 12 : Leave Delhi

Following breakfast, our representative will meet you at the hotel and assist you to reach the international airport to board flight for your home.

POST TOUR EXTENSION – EASTERN GALORE : Bagdogra - Darjeeling - Gangtok - Gagdogra

Day 06 : Kolkata Bagdogra by flight & Bagdogra Darjeeling by road

Timely transfer to Kolkata airport to board flight for Bagdogra. Upon arrival at Bagdogra, we drive to Darjeeling. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 07 : In Darjeeling

Proceed for sightseeing tour of Darjeeling. Start the journey with a visit to Tiger Hill – A stupendous viewpoint offering the most spectacular sunrise. The magnificent view of the rising sun over the snow – capped Mt. Kanchenjunga and other great Eastern Himalayan peaks is a delightful sight. Also, visit Himalayan mountaineering Institute and Ghoom Monastery at an altitude of 2407 meters. While you are in Darjeeling, one of the most enticing activities to experience Toy Train Ride. At present, it is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and truly a wonderful experience that you can savor for long.

Day 08 : Darjeeling Gangtok by road

Start the journey with a drive towards Gangtok and en route visit enchanting Rumtek monastery. The architecture and design of the Rumtek Monastery are extremely admiring. The road cutting through the vivid landscapes and raw magnificence of nature is extremely beautiful. The astounding sights of the distant mountains will leave you in complete awe. Overnight stay in Gangtok.

Day 09 : In Gangtok

After a relaxing breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and will be taken for a guided sightseeing tour of Gangtok. Visit Tsuk la Khang or the Royal Chapel, the Institute of Tibetology – world renowned institute doing its research on Tibetan language and culture, the Memorial Chorten whose gold peak is observable from all the parts of Gangtok, and the Orchid sanctuary where one can see many of the 454 species of Orchids found in Sikkim. The last stop on your tour is the 200-year-old Enchey monastery where history and culture are well-preserved.

Day 10 : Gangtok Bagdogra by road & Bagdogra Kolkata by flight

The day begins with a relishing breakfast at the hotel, and then a drive to Bagdogra airport to board flight to Kolkata. You will be met at the Kolkata airport by our representative and he will escort you to your pre-booked hotel and will assist you with the check in formalities. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 11 : Leave Kolkata

Following breakfast, our representative will meet you at the hotel and assist you to reach the international airport to board flight for your home.

POST TOUR EXTENSION – MAGICAL BHUTAN : Paro - Thimpu - Paro

Day 06 : Kolkata Paro by flight & Paro Thimpu by road

Tour extensions often come with amazing surprises, the Magical Bhutan trip is no different. Start the trip with boarding flight to Paro Airport and from there a stupendous ride to the capital city of Bhutan, Thimpu. Settle in and relax and later start the exploration of Thimpu. Places like Takin preserve Centre, Changankha Lhakhang will reward you with mesmerizing memories. In the evening set out to visit the Tashichhoe Dzong and Weekend Centenary Farmers’ Market . Stay the night in a cozy hotel.

Day 07 : In Thimpu

Start the day with a relaxing breakfast in Thimpu before starting on with the sightseeing tour. The Kuensel Phodrang followed by National Memorial Chorten will entice you in every aspect. Visit the other famous spots like the largest Dzong of the country, Thimpu Dzong, Zorig Chusum, Folk Heritage Museum, Textile Museum and if time permits also visit the National Library. Day 08 : Thimpu Paro by road

The drive to Paro from Thimpu will be on the road that cuts through some really vivid and colorful landscapes. Enjoy the serene beauty of Bhutan and as you reach Paro spend some time relaxing. In the afternoon, start the tour of Paro with Ta Dzong as the first tourist place. Also, visit the other famous attractions like Rinpun Dzong and Kyichu Lhakhang. Overnight stay in Paro.

Day 09 : In Paro

Spend another day in Paro and while you are here, explore the famous landmarks. After breakfast visit, Taktsang Monastery – called “Tiger’s Nest” and Drukgyel Dzong. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 10 : Leave Paro

In time transfer to Paro airport to board flight for home / next destination.
