Day 1 : Arrive Chennai

Our representative welcome you at the Chennai airport and escort you to the hotel.

Day 2 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram

Today, drive to Mahabalipuram which was once a flourishing port of the Pallavas of ancient India. The monuments and sculptures are world renowned and attract tourists from all over the world. En route, sightseeing tour of the city covering the shore temple, Arjuna’s penance, Artisans village. Check in at hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3 : Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Mahabalipuram

After breakfast, proceed to Kanchipuram, the city of Thousand Temples and considered as the second holiest place in India. Proceed for half day sightseeing of this temple town. Return to the hotel in the afternoon.

Day 4 : Mahabalipuram - Pondicherry

Today, drive to Pondicherry, a charming coastal town with a few enduring pockets of French culture and an ashram. On arrival, check in at hotel. Afternoon, visit Aurobindo Ashram and Auroville meditation hall.

Day 5 : Pondicherry - Trichy

Drive to Trichy, situated on the banks of the Cauvery River, this city was a Chola citadel from the Sangam age. On arrival, check in at hotel. Afternoon, proceed for sightseeing tour of city covering Rockfort Temple and Srirangam – known for its Vaishnavite temple dedicated to Lord Ranganathaswamy.

Day 6 : Trichy - Thanjavur - Trichy

After breakfast, proceed for an excursion to Thanjavur – the home of Carnatic music, musical instruments, dance and traditional handicrafts. Visit the famous Brihadeeshwara Temple.

Day 7 : Trichy - Madurai

Drive to Madurai, the 2000 years old capital of Pandayan Kings. Madurai is famous for the Meenakshi Temple, with its towering gopurams & rare sculptures and Thiurmalai Nayakkar Palace. On arrival, check in at hotel. Evening, visit to Meenakshi Temple to witness “Aarti ceremony”.

Day 8 : Madurai

After breakfast, proceed for sightseeing tour of the city.

Day 9 : Madurai - Kanyakumari

Drive to Kanyakumari, the southernmost tip of India which is a confluence of 3 oceans – the Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean.

Day 10 : Kanyakumari - Kovalam

Drive to Kovalam. En route visit, Thanumalayan Temple, a well-known temple in Suchindram and Padmanabhapuram palace, the residence of the erstwhile Rajas of Travancore.

Continue drive to Kovalam. An idyllic village along the coastlines of the Arabian Sea, Kovalam is most famous for its three pristine beaches with shallow waters and low tidal waves where one can go surfing, wooden and motor boat riding. Check in at hotel.

Full day at leisure.

Day 13 : Kovalam - Alleppey

Today drive to Alleppey where you will embark the overnight Houseboat that offers a best medium to sail on the backwaters. Referred as the ˜Venice of the East”, this backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. All meals on board.

Day 14 : Alleppey - Cochin

Today disembark at Alleppey and drive to Kochi, formerly known as Cochin. Cochin ˜Queen of Arabian Sea” is one of the most interesting cities of India and has one of the finest natural harbours in the world. The ancient Temples, Churches and Synagogues in this district are of special interest to archeologists and historians. On arrival check in at hotel. Afternoon sightseeing tour of the city.

Day 15 : Cochin

Today transfer to Cochin Airport to connect departure flight for onward destination.
